The newsroom

Robert Champagne
Managing Editor
Robert is a journalism graduate who spent four years as a reporter covering politics, crime and the courts, and whatever was breaking that day. Before LTM he ran his own geopolitics blog for years — so explaining complicated world events in plain language isn't a gimmick here, it's the habit of a career. He runs LTM from Windsor, Ontario, where he also owns its parent company, Rose City Interactive.
Behind LTM
Layman's Terms Media is published by Rose City Interactive, an independent software company from Windsor, Ontario — the Rose City that gives the studio its name.
Windsor is a border town that builds things, and Rose City Interactive runs on that same blue-collar ethic: locally owned, locally run, Canadian through and through, and built from the ground up rather than from a boardroom down. If a thing is worth doing, it's worth doing plainly and doing right — that ethic is where LTM's “big stories, plain English” motto comes from.
The studio's other work shares the same DNA. It develops games about geopolitics — the same fascination with how power, borders and headlines actually work that drives this newsroom — and runs TravelDash, a trip-planning site. Layman's Terms Media is the family's newsroom: no jargon, no spin, and nothing published that we can't explain to you in plain English.
